The v2.2.90 update delivers a lineman-sized pack of improvements and enhancements

Matrix Games and Wintervalley Software (www.wintervalley.com) are pleased to announce the release of a major final update for Maximum Football 2.0.  This comprehensive update brings the game up to version 2.2.90 and comes with a hefty list of improvements.

Among the changes are improvements to some animations, an overhauled decision-making process for QB passing, better AI protocol for calling timeouts and choosing plays, the addition of zones for FG and punt returns, a variety of fixes, and much more!  The v2.2.90 update also marks the final update for Maximum Football 2.0 for the foreseeable future.

David Heath, Director of Operations at Matrix Games, said “Since its original release in early 2006, we have been hard at work developing and improving Maximum Football to create our ultimate vision of what this product could really become.  The upgrade path has been a long one and has brought original customers along with us through many previous updates, the new v2.0 release and now this final update.  We’d like to thank all the gamers and volunteers who have been playing and testing Maximum Football since the beginning and we hope that the two solid years of development they’ve been a part of since first playing the game have brought them enjoyment and a polished product that will stand the test of time.  Unfortunately, all things must come to an end, but while development on Maximum Football will end with this version, the features and tools provided with the game give each gamer the ability to create their own football league for years to come.”

Maximum-Football 2.0 is the latest and greatest release from the sports management game studio, Wintervalley Software.  Bringing a whole host of new features like full Xbox 360 controller support, full DirectX 9.0 utilization, and scores of other upgrades and improvements, Maximum-Football 2.0 delivers on gameplay and fun like a bullet pass through double coverage. Like its predecessor, Maximum-Football 2.0 allows players to experience the thrill of managing a team in any league!

Design and play in leagues where you pick the size and layout. Play against others in user created leagues. The sky is the limit to how far you can take Maximum-Football 2.0. Get down and dirty with the editor as you create new plays and playbooks, design your own uniforms and helmets, and even select nicknames to appear on jerseys.

Maximum-Football 2.0 is the football fan’s dream. Whether you are a head coach or an armchair quarterback, Maximum-Football 2.0 has the features for you.
